Placements, providing students with valuable workplace experience through substantial placements delivered over two years. Funding is available to support employers participating in the programme. T e college is also introducing new three-week construction


placements for Level 2 and Level 3 learners who will already hold CSCS cards, providing employers with an accessible way to engage with emerging talent while helping students gain practical site experience. Another area of focus is the Teacher Industry Exchange


programme, funded through the Construction Training and Education Centre (CTEC). The initiative enables employers to host teaching staff for industry upskilling opportunities, deliver masterclasses and technical workshops, and contribute directly to curriculum enrichment activities. Mark Bradshaw, curriculum manager for construction at


Northampton College, said these partnerships create value for both education providers and employers. He added: “T e pace of change across construction, sustainability


and emerging technologies means it is more important than ever for education and industry to work together. “Employer engagement helps ensure our curriculum remains


relevant, while businesses benefi t from access to future talent and opportunities to infl uence skills development. Ultimately, these partnerships strengthen the local economy and help create sustainable growth across Northamptonshire.” To launch the new programmes and encourage greater


collaboration, Northampton College is hosting its Skills Bootcamps and Employer Engagement Launch Event on Tuesday, July 7 at its Booth Lane campus. The event will bring together employers, HR professionals,


workforce development leaders and industry partners to explore recruitment challenges, discuss future skills requirements and identify practical ways to work together. Attendees will gain an overview of the Skills Bootcamp delivery


model, take part in employer roundtable discussions and learn more about opportunities to engage with training programmes, industry placements and workforce development initiatives. T e launch event is just one of several opportunities for businesses to connect with Northampton College over the coming months.
