Milton Keynes Community Foundation
Celebrating the best of the city
Next summer, MK Community Foundation is rolling out something special: a charity awards evening to mark 40 years of supporting the people and places that make Milton Keynes the city it is. Due to be held on June 29 at the iconic Stables venue, the evening
will shine a light on the individuals and organisations working every day to create a fairer, more connected city. From grassroots volunteers to citywide initiatives. For the people who step up to make Milton Keynes feel more like a collective than a city. Milton Keynes Community Foundation is deeply rooted in the
city it serves. For four decades, it has stood alongside local charities and community groups, funding them, highlighting what could make our communities better, and working side by side to make it happen.
A diff erent kind of awards night Run by MK Community Foundation but belonging to the voluntary, community and cultural sector, the event will be no stuff y black-tie aff air. T e vibe will be more food trucks and dancing than a formal dinner. T e evening will be warm and welcoming, a chance for civic leaders, local businesses, charities, and neighbours to come together as equals to celebrate what they have achieved and look ahead at what more they can do together.
Local businesses can make their mark in this shared story. By
stepping up as a sponsor, they can show your commitment to the community where their employees live and work. It’s not about just unfurling a branded banner and collect business cards (though they can do that, too); it’s a way to align the business with excellence, action and community pride. With categories covering areas including Health and Wellbeing,
Arts and Heritage, and Environment and Transport, everyone involved will be among a breadth of local thought-leaders on every facet of life in MK.
Next steps Milton Keynes Community Foundation has put together structured sponsorship packages to help businesses and their brands shine in the run-up to, and on, the night. But as ever, the best place to start is with an informal chat to see how it can work in a way that feels right. T e MK Community Foundation Charity Awards will be a night
to remember: a joyful, unbuttoned celebration of the people and projects shaping the city’s future. Spaces for sponsorship are limited so the Foundation team would love to help businesses explore how they can be part of this milestone event.
