LIQUI MOLY launches a new EV coolant T
he German automotive chemicals manufacturer LIQUI MOLY has expanded its range of Electric Vehicles (EVs)
products by launching a new EV coolant: Battery Coolant EV 200. The coolant has been developed for indirect
battery cooling and it is based on Organic Additive Technology (OAT). Some of its properties are:
• A low electrical conductivity. • Flux inhibitors to prevent damage caused by flux residues in the cooling system.
• A good corrosion protection for aluminum, ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
• Unlike water-based coolants, the formation
of hydrogen in the cooling system through hydrolysis is reduced.
• Efficient dissipation of the generated heat.
• Good long-term stability. “The development
effort was worthwhile. Hybrid additive was our first product for e-mobility years ago. Our product range has always supported the process of

technological transformation. Our slogan ‘Everything that drives works better with LIQUI MOLY’ now includes E-Vehicles,” said David Kaiser Head of Research and Development at LIQUI MOLY. Other EV products in LIQUI
MOLY’S range are gear oils and brake fluids. LIQUI MOLY has been in operation for over 60 years. It produces lubricants, motor oils, additives, vehicle care products, chemical repair
tools, service products, glues and sealants.

with Mr. Green Africa and Blowplast Ltd. Mr Green Africa collects plastics generated from service stations where some of TotalEnergies service stations are used as collection points, and processes them into pellets before they are mixed with virgin material at the Blowplast plant to make the lubricant containers. This entire process is done in Kenya. “The introduction of these sustainable
packages reinforces our commitment to environmental stewardship and circular economy. The innovative packaging is a significant milestone in our efforts to promote environmental responsibility and plastic waste reduction by incorporating recycled plastic into our value chain. The packaging is designed to meet rigorous quality standards, while enhancing customer satisfaction by ensuring the integrity and longevity of the lubricants,” said TotalEnergies Marketing Kenya. TotalEnergies also highlighted that apart from
Kenya, they have a used packaging program in Ghana, Cameroon and Ivory Coast.
