Tributes to accident victim Stuart (90)


Tributes have been paid to 90-year-old Stuart Beal who died after being involved in

They had been married for


61 years and had a son, daugh­ ter and five granddaughters. At 90, Stuart had lived a


full and very interesting life. He had travelled widely when in the Merchant Navy during the war, surviving a torpedo attack. His family say he was an


avid reader with a sharp, log­ ical mind and had a philo­ sophical and often humorous perspective on life. He was senior partner in a successful civil and structural engineer­ ing company until his retire­ ment in 1988 and was adept with all modern technology - computing, phone and even Facebook.

fully in his sleep and that he was independent and in good form to the end.
