It's a case of new year, new gym for Pendie Leisure Centre, so there's never been a better time for a new you!

The gym at the Crown Way building has had a new carpet, new decor and a full range of brand new, state-of-the-art equipment

installed. So now you've no excuse to stick to your New Year's Resolution!

The ROC-IT range of machines are a true innovation in strength training that effectively combine superior biomechanics with fun to give you a unique movement experience.

As well as the bikes, steppers and running machines - which all have their own small TV screen attached - there is a wide choice of equipment to work every part of your body.

I

But the piece de resistance has to be the Expresso Bikes, complete with interactive games. Compete on the race track against a fellow cyclist or chase blue dragons for points. Race against a friend on the next machine or even link into the website and challenge someone in a different country! You don't even realise you are exercising because you are so intent on the game in hand, it really does make going to the gym fun. And they are

totally unique to this area, with the nearest gym with these bikes 25 miles away!

Pendie Leisure Centre's Health and Fitness Manager, John Rawcliffe, said: "We have brought the existing gym into the 21st Century with this brand new, hi-tech equipment. We are always trying to persuade people to get fit and healthy, so we want to

encourage them by providing them with better facilities arid the best equipment we can."
