NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Uncashire County Council have made an Order under Sect'on 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit lemporanly any 'pedestrian from, proceeding over that length o f the concessionary footpath mnning alongside the Rrver Hodder in Slaidbum, in the Borough of Rrbble Valley, indicated below: That part of the concessionary footpath that runs alongside the River Hodder, from a point at its junction with Public Footpath No. 17 Slaidbum, at Grid Ref 7087 5154, and mnning in a general south easteriy direch'on for a distance of approximately 132 metres. It then mns in a general north easteriy direcdon .for a distance of approximately 801 metres to its junction with Public Footpath No. 14 Slaidbum to Grid Ref 7122 5222. The total distance of the route to be closed is approximately 933 metres.


An alternative route is available using existing highways. The closure is necessary because of the likelihood of danger to' the public whilst works are cam'ed out by United Utilities.


The Order will be operative from the 14 July, 2008, for a period of 3 months.
