NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council (the “County Council") intend to make an Crder under Section 14(1 )(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to tem porarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from pro ceeding over C553 Sabden Road, Simonstone, in the Borough of Ribble Valley, from its junction with Back Lane, to its junction with Whins Lane.
An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is:- C553 Padiham Road, C554 Simonstone Road, C554 Trapp Lane, and Whins Lane.
The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to carry out a drainage investigation.
The prohibition will be operative on Monday 25th July
2005 and Tuesday 26th July 2005 (from 09.00 hours until 16.00 hours each day).
