. Council, Mr David Morris. And the host team built on

another successful season by winning three categories and finishing as runners-up in two others. In the Under-sevens com

petition Wolves scored, their first success by beating Akzo 1-0 in the final, but the Under-eights were unlucky to miss out when they lost by the same scoreline to oppo

nents from Accrington Stan ley.

The Under-nines got

Wolves back to winning ways when the White team beat Burscough 1-0 in the final and the Under-lOs final saw Junior Clarets score their fourth competition win of the summer by beating Barnoldswick Barons 1-0 in the final. Pendle Forest won the

Under-lls section 1-0 by beating Clitheroe Wolves and the Under-12s final also pro duced a 1-0 scoreline as the Wolves got the better of Fulledge Colts. The final boys’ competition

saw Brierfield Celtic beat Borrowdale United 2-1 in the final.

There were also two girls’

categories. The first saw Burnley Girls beat Lammack 3-2 in the Under 11s section and then Readstone United extended their incredible run by winning the Under 13s title 1-0 against Penwortham.
