M Lion dance makes for a seasonal change
SONGS from the shows and traditional Christmas carols were performed by youngsters from a Clitheroe primary
school. The hi-tech scenery created by an
overhead projector and PowerPoint pre sentation on a big screen provided the perfect backdrop for the festive extrava ganza at Pendle Primary School. Such was the popularity of the show
th a t youngsters even enjoyed a full house for their dress rehearsal, as well as at their afternoon and evening perfor
mances this week. A lion dance chore ographed using the expert knowledge of South African teacher Mrs Jan Evans featured m the programme. There were also lots of other songs from
other shows including the ever-popular “Mary Poppins”, “Annie” and “Phantom of the Opera”, as well as the usual Chnst- mas carols. Musical accompaniment was provided
by Mr Tim Nixon. Our photograph shows some of the young stars of the show, (s)
