ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 THE A59 TRUNK ROAD (CLITHEROE/SAWLEY BYPASS) (TEMPORARY 40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2003


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Secretary of State for Transport has made an Order on the A59 Trunk Road In the District of Clitheroe In the County of Lancashire to prevent danger to the public during aipolitlcal rally.


The restriction will come Into force at midday on Friday 15 August 2003 and will remain In force until 8pm on Sunday 17 August 2003, when the danger to the public has passed.


The effect of the Order will be to impose a 40mph speed restriction on all traffic on the A59 Trunk Road (Clitheroe/Sawley Bypass), from Downham Road Bridge for a distance of 4.86 kilometres In a northerly direction to the farm access to Great Dudland.


Traffic signs will indicate the extent of the restriction (which will not apply to vehicles being used for emergency purposes by the police, fire brigade or ambulance services).
