then try ERRAZURIZ SYRAH 2000, same

WILD FURMINT chardonnay or pinot noir, both around £10, from D. Byrne. Both of these are fer
grape different spelling,■ at around £7. The colour, is a bright
ra sp b e r ry /p u rp le , the sign of a -young wine. With hints of mint, red fruits and cassis on the nose which follow through to the palate. Here there are ripe silky tannins, soft and very fruity good acidity and excellent balance all cloaked with a little oak and a long aftertaste. Not bad for a wine at
this price. I t is often difficult to
recommend wines as tastes are very subjec tive, but if you ask "Is it good value for money?" and "Is i t well-made?" then the answer to both is an outstanding "Yes". So what else in the range is there? Well, a
