CAMPAIGNING resi dents of Hurst Green have won themselves a new bus

service. Plans are in place to

introduce a double Wednes day link to Whalley, with outward journeys at 9-30 a.m. and 12-30 p.m. and homeward services at 12-45

p.m. and 2-30 p.m. Initially, it will operate

on a tr ia l basis for six months, but passenger sup

by members of Lancashire County Council's Trans port Committee, after it received a petition signed by 60 villagers.
