PEOP LE are para mount to the success of Clitheroe-based All- car e Home Care Agency — from senior citizens to the very youngest members of the community, as the award-winning com pany launches its new s e r v i c e , A 11 c a r e Nannies.
Just two years have
passed since mothers Mrs Yvonne Carter and Mrs Gill Bailey launched then-
care agency. D u r i n g the action-
packed months since, they have worked round the clock and their reward has been to see a growth which neither could have dreamed of.
Their dedication has
been recognised not just by the company’s growth, but bv receipt of the El .TEC Extra ’!M Award in April and a place in the finals of Granada T V ’s ••Flying S ta r t ” p ro gramme, one of 112 com panies whittled down from ISO in the North West.
But it goes without say

clients. When Mrs Carter and
Mrs Bailey say “ We actually love coming to work,” they mean it. The atmosphere in the office at Wellgate reflects it and the smiles on the faces of their management team also bear witness to it.
Allcare Home Care
Agency is certainly a flag ship when it comes to proof that small businesses can work, do work and, in time, like acorns, grow into veritable rocks of the business community.
Mrs Carter and Mrs
Bailey were already good friends and had been
involved in extensive char ity work together in the Kibble Valley when the first seeds of Allcure were sown.
"We soon realised that we had a good rapport and
worked well together,” says Mrs Carter. “ My youngest son had started school and Gill’s son was already at school and we

The agency is aware of
the local colleges, such as Nelson and Colne College
and the Blackburn and Burnley Colleges, all of which train local would-be nannies to NNEB stan dard or the BTEC Nurs ing qualification. And, if there are any nannies in the Kibble Valley looking for work, then Allcare Nannies would love to hear from you, too.
Both Mrs Carter and
Mrs Bailev are working mothers. Mrs Carter, with six children whose ages
range from 15 years to six, knows belter than most the problems faced.
Call into the Wellgate
office and have a chat about your nanny needs. Who knows, your family's lifestyle could be about to undergo a remarkable revolution.
ENABLING Kibble Valley residents to retain their independence at home, despite advancing years, is a priority with Allcare Home Care
Agency. And, as far as care
agencies go, Allcare is cer tainly one of the best.
Care, commitment, enthusiasm and dedication
a r e t h e a g e n e v ’ s hallmarks. As a former nurse, joint
proprietor Mrs Yvonne Carter firmly believes that, in most instances, "the quality of life is often improved if clients stay in their own homes.”
Typical clients include
the‘elderly, disabled and convalescent. Support can be offered in many ways, including;
• A meals service —
the agency provides cli ents with meals cooked in their own home; a bonus for older people living alone who may not be eat ing properly.

Allcare has a special porta ble bathchair available for use in clients’ homes, ena bling people who have pre viously encountered prob lems getting in and out of the bath to overcome them safelv.
• Terminal care

• Mother’s Help — the
agency can also offer help for mothers, when a new baby arrives, in the form of housework, ironing, caring for other children,
making meals and general support.
• Holiday R e l ie f
Allcare can arrange help, from a 10-minute pop-in visit, to a live-in house keeper, to give relatives peace of mind, enabling them to go on holiday. All of this entails qual
