an i n t r i g u i n g a n d memorable year. t'oun. Travis, the head
master of Fuhvood High School and borough coun cillor for Simonstone, stated his intentions — to ensure that the name of the Kibble Valley is heard and enhanced as widely as possible; to pursue the arts policy including musi cal introductions by young Lancashire musicians
prior to each full meeting of the council; and to sup port chari t ies for the young, for those suffering from cancer and the vic tims of strokes.
To celebrate the instal

The ma gni f ic ent bui lding proved to be a popular and fitting choice of venue for a man who had chosen education as his career and whose gue s t s included more than the usual com plement of distinguished educationalists.
