reunion for all former employees at the works and have is su e d a ra l ly in g ca ll fo r any interested former worker to contact them. Mrs Davis and Mrs Wilson were 17 and 15
respectively when they started work as design reproduction artists at the complex. Mrs Davis said: “ Barrow Print Works was like a little com munity. Many of the Barrow villagers worked there and my own personal memories of the factory are dear ones." If you would like to attend the reunion, which

Play highlights problems of disabled
FIFTY people went to a special theatre evening organised at Trinity Youth and Community Centre, Clitheroe, which aimed to highlight some of the problems
faced by the disabled. It was given by the louring Red Ladder theatre
group from Leeds, which last visited Trini ty IS months ago. Their play, “ fasten,” featured a deaf
t e e n ag e r ’s problems communic a t ing wi th his parents.
Afterwards the actors and actresses divided the
audience into groups to discuss the play and the issues it evoked. The play was staged on a senior youth club night
and the rest of the youth centre was closed. Red Ladder will be returning in PS months' lime.
