NORWEB’s Test and Development Centre, we decided to replace the existing’ platten heating, with electric, ceramic pad heaters, applied directly'to the forming tools. The results have been dramatic. Warm-up times have. been reduced from four hours to one hour, energy costs have been cut by 50%, and the costs of the changeover recouped within 12 months. We were also delighted that this achievement was recognised when we
