"NORWEB gave us the power to cut our energy costs by 5 0

%"

Mr Ray Grimshow, Director, Jo h n Cotton (Colne) Ltd, 1992 PEP award winner.

“At John Cotton (Colne) Ltd we manufacture internal vehicle panels using

heated presses. After tests sat EMTEC. NORWEB’s Test and Development Centre, we decided to replace the existing’ platten heating, with electric, ceramic pad heaters, applied directly'to the forming tools. The results have been dramatic. Warm-up times have. been reduced from four hours to one hour, energy costs have been cut by 50%, and the costs of the changeover recouped within 12 months. We were also delighted that this achievement was recognised when we

won the 1992 NORWEB PEP Award for industrial companies with more than 100 employees.”
