Tom Rock made the disaster box appeal his project for his presidential year of office. Tlie boxes eacli contain vital supplies for the survival of victims of a disaster, including a first aid kit, blankets, bedding and waterproof sheeting for use as a makeshift tent. The 55 boxes were
loaded on to a lorry bound for a Manchester depot and will be stored in readiness for future use. Press officer for the
club Mr John Pye paid tribute to the generosity of all concerned. “These boxes have been put together thanks to great efforts made by the Clitheroe public and the tremendous support of local schools,” he said.
