Stan Sellers has a large garden which he recently redesigned. He seeded new lawns which were ready for their first cut. Unfortunately Stan’s old hand lawnmower wasn’t up to scratch.

He had often seen good second hand electric or power mowers advertised in this newspaper, but he needed some extra cash to buy one.

He went into his garden shed to see what items he could possibly sell. He found a hedge trimmer he no longer used because he had replaced his hedge with fencing, there was a surplus of plant pots of various sizes, an old wheelbarrow, Simon and Sophie had bought him a new one for his birthday, a set of hand tools and, of course, the old mower.

He telephoned BURNLEY 22331 and a friendly adviser told him the best way to advertise to sell them quickly. He took the advice, sold everything the first week with the exception of a few plant pots, which he was able to advertise a second week free of charge.

Take a “leaf” out of Stan’s gardening book, clear out your garage or shed and make yourself some extra cash.
