A START could be made this month on Sabden’s new crown bowling green ■
— and it should be ready for use by 1991. Grants totalling £25,000
have been made towards the cost of the project — £15,000 from the North West Sports Council and £10,000 from the Ribble Valley Borough Council —■ and over £7,000 has been raised by the Sabden Crown Green Bowling Club. Mr Tom Lightbown,
chairman of the club, said an enormous debt of grati tude was owed to all the local people who had turned out to support the fund-raising so far. He expressed thanks on
