money at a tombola stall at Gisburn Sunday Market at the weekend.

A couple who met when they were students at Rath University, Miss Joanne Vidler and Mr Martin Chatt, were mar­ ried at St Mary's Church, Raleombe. Sussex. The bride is the daugh­

A walk in the Dales


R1RRLE VALLEY ram­ blers were among a large party of North East Lan­ cashire Ramblers who met at Settle to explore the Yorkshire Dales, passing through Hawes, over Rut­ ter Tubs Pass and into the village of Thwaite. The group split into four


parties, with the largest group following field paths to Angram. They walked over the grouse moor to High Bridge and crossed the heck, going along Cot- tersliy Scar to pass the waterfalls o f Currach Force and Kisdon Force, through the woods and fields to Milker. Here they enjoyed ice­

CLITHEROE Naturalists went hack in time during their recent walk.

les and .Joyce Westall, the 38 members started from Langstone Common and walked to Donny Hridye. where they divided into small yroups and explored


the Sedywick geological trail alony the River Clouyh.
