Museum has clean bill of health
FOLLOWING its recent troubles, Clitheroe Castle Museum is due to open this weekend with a clean bill of health.. After intensive work on
both floors during the win ter break, the popular mu s e um r e - o p e n s tomorrow. Concern had been
expressed about the safety of some parts of the build ing, but measures have been taken to rectify those problems. Two major exhibitions
are due to be unveiled soon. It is hoped that the Clitheroe Room on the ground floor will become one of the museum’s main attractions, displaying his torical artefacts from tho town. On the first floor, a dis
play of local industry over the years is currently
being assembled. The museum curators are hop ing to include working scale models of well-known local industrial landmarks. The museum will be
open from tomorrow between the hours of 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.
