THERE was a Scottish flavour in Rimington on Friday when the village’s Music and Drama group and Men’s Glee Club' joined forces to organise a coffee evening with a difference. Members and friends of the two groups dressed, appropriately in
colourful kilts to welcome visitors. Winners of a “guess the brand of whisky” competition were
Mrs C. Johnson, of Clitheroe, Mrs H. Waddington and Mr H. F. Taylor, of Gisburn. Winners of hampers of Scottish delicacies (including a haggis)
were Mrs M. Stott and Mrs A. Carr, of Rimington. Proceeds are for Memorial Institute funds and to finance future productions 6f the Drama and Music Society.
