THE oldest member of Trinity Methodist Church, Clitheroe, Mr Wilfrid


Lees, has died at the age of 94.


Clitheroe Probus Club, his funeral at the church was attended by several fellow members and a number of regular wor­ shippers.

His son, Eric, used to teach at Clitheroe Royal Grammar School and after several visits to the town, Mr Lees de­ cided to move here per­ manently in 1947, follow­ ing early retirement as company secretary for a firm of textile machinery manufacturers.
