ELEVEN members of Clitheroe Ramblers kept active during the festive season with a walk to Hardcastle Crags, near Hebden Bridge.

A CHILDREN’S fancy dress parade had the au­ dience in stitches when Rimington v i l lag e rs turned out in force for the


annual Christmas’party in' the Memorial Institute. The children paraded in

judges, Mr and Mrs Roy Dewhurst, of Twiston, a difficult task choosing the winners. There were also .games

SABDEN Baptist Church members ended the festive season in style with a New Year party in the school hall. Among more than 60 guests were'the minister, the Rev. A. D. Briddock and his wife, the new. vicar of Sabden, the Rev. Denis McWilliam, his wife and their daughter Anna.

After tea there were games and competitions and Mr Harold Bridge played music for dancing.


Mr Robert Heseltine, who sang solos and a duet, accompanied by pianist Mrs Mildred Moorhouse.


Entertainment was also provided by singers Mrs Winnie Park and
