Party time Sabden’s Holme Com
mittee held, a slap-up party on Sunday after noon as a special opening celebration for 50 pension ers on the Littlemoor sheltered housing estate. New residents of the
recently-opened flats joined existing residents ;from the Littlemoor bun--- galows at the. party. It began with a buffet tea,, followed by prize bingo with grocery hampers for the main prizes, and then a sing-song round the piano.
The committee, which
consists of 13 residents who live near the Holme playing field, also donated a clock which has been placed in the community centre. The eldest resident of
the estate Miss Nancy Ward (93) unveiled' the clock, and she was pre sented with a flowering plant by the committee chairman Mr Alf Parsons. The pianist was Mr Harry Robinson.
