retirement marks a quar­ ter of a century in nursing — 22 years at Clitheroe. But she was not allowed


to leave empty-handed. After a humorous toast and speech by Dr W. D. Oliver, Mrs Collingridge received a nest of coffee tables, a bottle.of perfume ; and a framed farewell card, from Sister Sheila Mars-,,


den, on behalf of staff and everyone associated with the hospital. Mrs Collingridge has


accepted an invitation to join the Friends — an organisation which works


for the benefit and comfort of the hospital’s patients —- and chairman Mrs Alice Simpson presented her with a set of cutlery.' In addition, Mrs Colling­
