AS GUINNESS EXPORT had to play a cup game, Clitheroe perc unexpectedly left without a match on Saturday.
So far this season, Clitheroe’

9 points from ten games, and were well placed in the league, at fifth position. They bad drawn two matches, and lost only two. Their home record was excellent, and they had not been defeated

There is little doubt that Clitheroe possess a number of talented players, but finding the tight blend has so far provided the committee with a real headache. WADDINGTON NEVER GAVE UP TRYING IN CUP GAME
PLAYING a much older and vastly more experienced side, Waddington were by no means disgraced by their 3—0 defeat by Headingley Rangers, in the first round of the West Riding County Football Association Challenge Cup. The experience of the
Headingley players showed right from the start, for they judged the state of the rough Twitter Lane ground well, and after the first ten minutes, they came straight onto the ball every time instead of waiting for it and risking a
bad bounce. Waddlngtoh, on the other
hand, were far too slow on the ball, and lost possession many times due to this lack of speed. When they did gain possession tuite often they parted too quickly and frequently lost the ball through poor passing. Nevertheless, the game was
