Oilgear & the Fluidpower Group Strengthening their Strategic Distribution Agreement


Oilgear, the US-based specialist pump and valve manufacturer and the Fluidpower Group, the UK’s largest hydraulic distributor, have formed a strategic alliance aimed at generating significant growth of Oilgear products across the UK and Europe.


To date the collaboration has seen significant success across several industrial and offshore applications demonstrating the combined depth of engineering capability.


To ensure the continued success of this agreement The Fluidpower Group have invested heavily in stock which is now available for immediate delivery.

Brimmond Sets Sights on Growth with Rebrand and Restructure


Brimmond Group, the Aberdeenshire-based provider of hydraulic, lifting and mechanical equipment and services, has integrated the divisions of its business by absorbing sister company Rigrun Europe.


The company, which is rebranding as Brimmond after dropping ‘Group’ from its title, also announced Tom Murdoch as Managing Director of the newly unified entity. The restructure sees him become majority shareholder of the business started by his late father Alistair in 1996.


Tom Murdoch, Managing Director of Brimmond, said: “Unifying the business creates a stronger organisation more capable of achieving growth in domestic

and international markets as demand for our services continues to increase.


“Last year saw the business lay strong foundations for growth, achieving our highest ever turnover of £6million, signing new distribution agreements with Heila Marine Cranes and KAMAT pumps and seeing strong demand for our rental, manufacturing and service divisions.


“Our new ambitious strategy will continue to grow Brimmond locally and internationally while building upon our core market in the energy sector, and diversifying into new markets including marine, aquaculture and renewables.”


The rebranding and restructure follows a prosperous year for the engineering company which saw it celebrate its 25th


anniversary, as well as announce new contracts spanning the renewables, subsea and production sectors.
