STC INSISO Launch Revolutionary New Root Cause Analysis Tool
Aberdeen-based problem-solving company, STC
INSISO, has announced its revolutionary new product, COMET Assured, an audit and inspection application that delivers a clients’ assurance regime but uniquely integrates root cause analysis (RCA) for non-conformances and compliance gaps, facilitating diagnosis and implementation of sustainable improvements before those gaps result in harm.
With a direct R&D investment from STC INSISO of £150k, already matched by early customer sign-up, the product has ignited significant interest from three major companies across Rail, Waste Management, and Energy, who begin their implementation from July 2022.
The unique methodology of this tool uses the insights gained through the audit process to analyse why non- conformances occur, compared to traditional audit methods that focus on what has happened.
This product can be used on its own, but also integrates seamlessly with the company’s flagship product, COMET, which provides customers with an incident investigation and RCA toolkit. For the first time in the market, the technology creates an integrated family of Audit and Investigation tools, incorporating both analysis of proactive findings (the audit) and reactive data (from incident investigation).
NSTA Announces One of Uk’s First Non-exec Director Job Shares
The North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) has recetly announced what is thought to be one of the first non-executive director job share positions on a UK board.
The position is being shared by Fiona Mettam and Vicky Dawe, who also job share the role of Director of Energy Development and Resilience at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS).
The post holders are a representative of the Secretary of State for BEIS, the NSTA’s sole shareholder, as an NSTA board director.
The Secretary of State gave approval to amend the NSTA’s Articles of Association to allow the appointment of an additional ‘alternate director’ on the NSTA board. It is believed to be the first time this has happened for a body such as the NSTA across all government departments.
Directors are responsible for setting the NSTA’s strategic direction, policies and priorities.
Chaired by Tim Eggar, the NSTA board met eight times in 2021-22, and seven board meetings are scheduled for 2022-23. Directors also attend a number of other meetings with stakeholders.
