Vulcan Completion Products, OVB and Shell Brunei
A leading international provider of innovative solutions for the oil and gas cementing and completions market has further underlined its commitment to the APAC region by deploying equipment in Brunei for the first time.
Aberdeen-based Vulcan Completion Products (Vulcan) is working with exclusive Brunei agent OVB and recently won a significant contract to supply floats and centralisers equipment and accessories to Shell Brunei. The five-year contract was awarded after a tender process and includes the option of two, one-year extensions. It is set to kick off this summer with OVB’s contract allowing them to exclusively supply Vulcan equipment to service the project.
The award is the fruition of a relationship between OVB and Vulcan which stretches back to 2018 and will see Vulcan extend its global footprint when its products are deployed in Brunei for the first time ever.
Commenting on the news, Vulcan Completion Products’ Managing Director Ian Kirk said: “Our team has a wealth of knowledge and expertise gained in the Brunei market, and this has been instrumental in taking VCP’s portfolio to this important, new location.
“We are very pleased that our excellent relationship with OVB has yielded mutual success in this way, and we hope that this contract will act as an important steppingstone towards future success in the region.”
OVB Managing Director Zeeshan Liew Abdullah added: “We are very excited to work with the VCP team and looking
forward in supplying VCP quality products to our existing client BSP. In the market today, we are glad to have a partnership with good support from VCP who understands the market very well in this region.
“We will also be working closely with VCP to bring new products and technology to BSP which would equally be a win-win situation for all parties during the whole duration of our contract.”
Vulcan Completion Products’ (VCP) 12-strong team brings more than 200 years of combined experience to the design, manufacture and application of a specialist range of innovative equipment for the energy sector, specifically centralisers, reamer and guide shoes to float equipment, cement plugs and cable protectors, namely cementing and completion equipment.
