DROP DEAD FRED
Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness... it’s Autumn and that means the blackberries are gathered in.
Brockmans Gin is celebrating the arrival of Autumn with a richly delicious cocktail: Drop Dead Fred. This being a recipe from the ‘Properly Improper Gin’, there is a twist: the intriguing, exotic notes provided by hibiscus syrup, contrasting elegantly with the 11 botanicals in the gin and the sharpness of citrus.

Drop Dead Fred cocktail 60ml Brockmans Gin
The Brockmans
30ml homemade Hibiscus syrup 15ml fresh squeeze lemon juice 15ml grapefruit juice 5 fresh blackberries
GARNISH: ADDITIONAL BLACKBERRY AND A MINT LEAF, SKEWERED ON A COCKTAIL STICK
Muddle 5 blackberries in a shaker with Brockmans Gin. Add ice and
other ingredients. Shake vigorously. Double strain into a coupe glass. Add 1 blackberry and mint leaf to garnish.
To make the Hibiscus Syrup:
Steep Hibiscus tea in heated sugar water (ratio 1:1). Let it steep for 20-30 mins; remove tea bags.
