BLONDING The Hair Coach

BLONDING, BLEACHING & BLENDING THE 3 B’S YOU NEED TO KNOW IN 2026

34

Hair Coaching is more than a service; it’s an art! And for 2026 I am recommending 3 Bs as a great artistic way to start your hair colour routine in 2026.

Whether you're after subtle sun-kissed highlights or a complete blonde makeover or wanting to embrace the grey, your ideal shade is just one coaching session away. Achieve this with a coordinated team: a skilled hair coach for your complete hair programme, an experienced colour technician, and a talented emerging stylist.

Follow my 3 Bs and design a look and colour in 2026 that lifts, glows, and turns heads.

Timing is an important factor in addressing hair and scalp needs. For those considering wigs, it may take several weeks to select and customize one appropriately. There are numerous hair and scalp considerations to address, and some may not become evident im- mediately. Including a stylist throughout the process can be ad- vantageous.

NEW COLOUR HAIR FOR 2026 - BLONDING Blonding is the process of lightening hair to achieve blonde shades, using various techniques to lift the natural pigment. Common blonding methods include balayage, which uses a freehand painting technique for a sun-kissed look; babylights, which are very fine highlights for a soft, blended result; and full highlights, which involve using foils for more precise application. The specific technique, products, and final tone are customized to the individual's natural hair colour, desired look, and hair health.

BLEACHING Hair bleaching lightens hair by using chemicals like hydrogen peroxide and persulfate salts to strip natural melanin pigment (colour) from the hair shaft, making it porous and opening the cuticle; it's a process that creates a blank canvas for lighter colours but requires careful preparation (like not washing hair for a few days before) and post-treatment care (moisturising treatments) to minimise dryness, breakage, and maintain hair health
