APPLE CELEBRATIONS AROUND HEREFORDSHIRE
Producing over half of the UK's cider and with more orchards than any other county in the country, home to the largest cider producer in the world plus over a hundred artisan cider producers, Herefordshire has earned its right to take harvest time very seriously. With a two week AppleFest from end September into October the county celebrates its apple heritage with full gusto, opening its orchards and barns for apple-themed events that enthrall the whole family:
The festival commences with the Hereford AppleFest Kick-Off on 28 September, a day full of live music, performances, artisan cider, perry and apple juice, children’s activities and more. Last year saw hundreds flock to Hereford city centre to enjoy one of the City’s biggest events of the year, and 2024 is set to be just as exciting.

HERGEST CROFT GARDENS AUTUMN PLANT FAIR, KINGTON Sunday 13 October 10am - 4pm
One of the most eagerly awaited events of the autumn horticultural county calendar, with a wide range of specialist nurseries offering rare and unusual plants.
Expect over fifty-five exhibitors selling plants, trees and shrubs, to a wide range of country craft, food and drink stalls.

Big Apple Harvestime Weekend 12 & 13 October invites you to share the tradition of apple growing and cidermaking around the Ledbury area. The venues will have plenty to offer visitors. There will be opportunities to enjoy the local orchards, see, hear and smell cider and perry being made and taste and buy many different varieties of apples, local ciders, perries and apple juices.
