Majestic Construction Completes New Safe Standing Area At Huddersfield Town’s Accu Stadium

West Yorkshire-based principal contractor Majestic Construction has completed the installation

of a new safe standing area at Huddersfield Town Football Club's Accu Stadium, as part of the Club's ongoing investment in enhancing the matchday experience and improving spectator safety.

Located within the South Stand, the new area features a

rail barrier fitted in front of the

existing seating, with each supporter allocated a designated numbered position.

The barrier runs as a single, continuous rail across each row of seats, and is designed to improve crowd management, reduce the risk of overcrowding and provide supporters with a safer standing environment.

Majestic Construction was appointed to deliver the project following its longstanding relationship

with Huddersfield Town, having Lee Marsden

successfully completed a number of projects for the Club over the past five years, including new press area, more directors’ seats, large screen installation and water stations to reduce single use plastic bottles.

The appointment further strengthens the partnership between the two organisations following Majestic Construction's recent renewal as Huddersfield Town's Official Construction Partner for the 2026/27 season and beyond under a new two-year agreement.

The completion of the safe standing area also sees Huddersfield Town join six other EFL League One clubs to introduce the initiative. The introduction of safe standing is also expected to enhance the atmosphere within the stadium by creating a dedicated space where supporters can stand together throughout matches while maintaining high safety standards.

“We're incredibly proud to have played a part in delivering another important development for

the Club and its fans, and I look forward to seeing the positive impact it has throughout the season.”

David Threlfall-Sykes, Chief Operating Officer at

Huddersfield Town FC, added: “Majestic Construction has become a valued partner of the Club, and has consistently supported our commitment to improving Accu Stadium for supporters.

“As a trusted principal contractor, with over thirty years of combined experience, Lee and his team were the ideal partners in delivering this important safety initiative. The introduction of safe standing represents another positive step forward for the Club, and we look forward to continuing our successful partnership with Majestic Construction in the years ahead.

Commenting on the project, owner and operator of Majestic Construction, Lee Marsden said: “As a lifelong Huddersfield Town supporter, it has been a privilege to work alongside the Club over the past five years, helping to deliver a range of improvements at Accu Stadium.

“This latest venture is one I am particularly passionate about.

Safe standing creates an

environment that allows supporters to enjoy the atmosphere football is renowned for while prioritising their safety.
