Stadium Update PTSG Is Premier Choice For Manchester City F.C.
Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) is currently on site at the City of Manchester Stadium, where its engineers are delivering specialist electrical services.
Manchester City’s home ground, known as the Etihad Stadium for sponsorship reasons, is in east Manchester. The club moved in 2003, having played at Maine Road since 1923. With a capacity of 53,400 it is the fifth- largest in the Premier League and the tenth-largest in the UK.
Manchester City celebrated winning the Premier League last weekend for the sixth time – the fourth under the managership of Pep Guardiola. City’s tally of 93 points is the joint fourth-highest total in Premier League history. Yet, remarkably, it is only the third highest City have attained during Guardiola’s reign.
Engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd are on site at the stadium this week, performing repairs to the lightning protection system. Lightning protection systems are used in all such sports stadia, providing a low impedance path to ground for potential strikes. This vastly reduces the likelihood of damage to the structure or harm to its users.

The new facility, which gained planning consent in January from New Forest District Council, will be built as an extension to Staplewood’s Markus Liebherr Pavilion. The Saints have been based at their previous training ground in Marchwood for nearly 30 years.
The new building will treble the size of the existing gym from 150 sqm to 450 sqm and will further improve Saints’ training facilities to be considered amongst the best and most modern in the Premier League.
Brymor Construction, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, has been appointed as main contractor for the project. The design and planning team included agents and quantity surveyors Mace and award-winning architecture and design practice KSS.
