Compliance Excellence
That matters in an organisation delivering more than 170 specialist services across five divisions, where maintaining technical competence, safety standards and consistency is fundamental to the service customers receive.
Learning By Doing The emphasis is deliberately practical.
Rather than relying solely on classroom based learning, the Centre gives people the opportunity to develop their skills in an environment designed around the work they will encounter in the field.
It is an approach that reflects Greg Ward’s own career journey, which began as an apprentice, and a belief that nobody starts as an expert.
Expertise is built by giving people opportunities to learn, ask questions, gain practical experience and continue developing throughout their careers. That philosophy now sits at the heart of the Centre of Excellence.
The Real Work Starts Now
The ribbon may have been cut, but in many ways that was only the beginning.
The Centre is now becoming a place where apprentices start careers, experienced colleagues develop new capabilities and people from across PTSG come together to learn and share knowledge.
PTSG is also finalising an autumn programme of activity for colleagues, clients and partners, opening up the Centre of Excellence as a place to connect, collaborate and share expertise, as well as learn.
The programme will bring people from across the Group and wider industry into the Centre, making full use of the investment and creating opportunities to share knowledge, develop skills and strengthen relationships.
For an industry facing an ongoing challenge around skills, recruitment and succession, the Centre demonstrates what long term investment in people can look like.
It is not simply about training for the jobs PTSG needs today. It is about creating the skills, expertise and opportunities the industry will need tomorrow.
This autumn, the next chapter begins.
Excellence in
Compliance Investing In People
The development of the Centre itself was a significant undertaking, but its real value will be measured over the years ahead.
The investment is about developing capability within PTSG, creating clearer career pathways and ensuring knowledge and expertise can be passed from one generation to the next.
It also reflects a broader commitment to making learning and development part of everyday working life rather than something that happens at isolated points in a career.
For customers, that investment matters too. Developing highly skilled people helps strengthen technical capability, consistency and safety across the services PTSG delivers.
