Compliance Excellence

Building The Future Of FM

Inside PTSG’s Centre of Excellence and its investment in the skills, people and next generation the industry needs.

“This building belongs to every colleague, every

customer and every apprentice. This is where we’re going to develop skills. This is where we’re going to give people opportunities.”

Those were the words of PTSG CEO Greg Ward when the Group officially opened its new Centre of Excellence in Manchester this summer.

But the significance of the Centre goes well beyond the opening of a new training facility.

Across facilities management and the wider built environment, attracting people into technical careers, developing specialist skills and creating clear routes for progression remain critical challenges.

For Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG), the answer is to invest directly in the people who will shape the future of the business and the industry.

More Than A Building

As Greg explained: “This isn’t just about opening a building. This is about creating new opportunities for our colleagues, our customers and all the young people and apprentices who are going to join PTSG.”

Creating The Skills The Industry Needs The Centre comes at an important time for PTSG. The Group has launched its biggest ever apprenticeship recruitment campaign, with plans to recruit up to 50 apprentices each year and create opportunities for around 150 apprentices over the next three years.

Those opportunities will span engineering, compliance and specialist services, giving young people the chance to build careers in an industry where technical expertise and practical experience are increasingly valuable.

But the Centre isn’t exclusively about apprentices. It

provides a dedicated environment where existing colleagues can develop their skills, engineers can undertake practical training and expertise can be shared across the Group.
