has never been to just sell his paintings. He loves to showcase the beauty of being outdoors and educating his audience to look up – look way up and see the magic that exists all around them.


Many a day you could find Ted out in the farmers’ fields painting or sketching and


they of course came to look and see. A lot of them had been so engrossed in the day to day work on the farm that they were busy looking at the ground and didn’t notice the display of Mother Nature in the clouds and in the sky. A lot of farmers today attribute their appreciation for the changes in the sky and clouds to Ted and his ability to capture the beauty in the Alberta skies. There isn’t a week that goes by that Ted’s phone doesn’t ring with someone telling


him that there are some great thunder clouds forming just past Linden and he should get out there and get some images. Lots of his neighbours know Ted and have become more aware of the beauty in the Alberta skies and find themselves looking up instead of at the ground.


These days Ted still tries to paint everyday but sometime finds it hard to keep his


schedule. Over the years he has found that the best time to paint and sketch is in the morning for him. He produces his best work during those times. If he keeps going into the afternoon there are many times the next day that he would have to go over and correct what he did in the afternoon. He has found some new Windsor Newton Griffin Alkyd Resin Fast Drying


Oil Colour paints that dry quicker and therefore he can work on his oils the next morning quicker. many private homes in Canada, UK, USA, Hong Kong, Australia and many other places around the world. Since the closing of Gainsborough at the end of 2018, Ted now has found a new
