Being from Alberta originally, Ted’s paintings make me homesick for moments when I was sitting on the porch on a warm summer afternoon. In Alberta you can see weather coming across the sky from a long ways away. By 1978 he had produced quite a few paintings and decided to take them to a gallery
to see if they would sell his work. They were delighted to represent Ted and in just a few weeks quite a few of his paintings had sold. With placing the paintings at Gainsborough Galleries in Calgary, and the fact that they were selling readily, he decided to make the bold move to become a full-time artist. He quit his job and started to paint full time. Forty-five years later he has never
looked back or regretted his decision. With the help of the Gallery he was able to make a living on his sales.
