We can do this DENNIS MARCHIORI, D.C., Ph.D.

CHANCELLOR AND CEO, PALMER COLLEGE OF CHIROPRACTIC

Just over five years ago, our Palmer College of Chiropractic Board of Trustees approved our vision for the future, a vision founded on a commitment to offering our students the very best chiropractic education in the world. “We were first, and we must always be the best,” one of our Trustees said to me after our meeting was over. “We can do this.”

And so, the administration, our Board and I embarked on the largest, most ambitious comprehensive fundraising campaign ever undertaken by any chiropractic educational institution. Ever. “We can do this.” To be honest, there’s never been a doubt in my mind that the Palmer Nation can achieve our highest aspirations, our boldest dreams, our most daring goals. And what the past five years have proven to me is that, at Palmer, there’s no reason for doubt. When you have the right mix of motivated alumni and donors, paired with a faculty and staff who can deliver on our promise, and students and patients who center us on what needs to be done, we can catalyze seismic transformation. And it’s happening.

We are inching closer and closer to our goal of raising $25 million by September 2023 to complete Daring and Driven: The Campaign for Palmer College. To date, nearly 2,000 alumni have given more than $21.4 million.

Let that sink in for a second. Because of the generosity of people like you, we continue to inject our two campuses with the sort of student learning experiences you simply won’t find anywhere else. Because of your generosity, we are removing the financial barriers that prohibit the best and brightest from entering to learn how. Because of you, the Palmer Fund is fueling excellence in teaching, research and clinical care. This campaign is nowhere near over. We

have more than $3.5 million left to raise. We can do this — if you put this magazine down for a few minutes and make a gift of any amount to your alma mater. But before you do, I hope you’ll take a moment to think about your time at Palmer, what you learned, what you gained and how it transformed your life. Then think about how your gift will do the same for a future chiropractor and our beloved profession.
