CHANCELLOR AND CEO, PALMER COLLEGE OF CHIROPRACTIC
A WISE POET WROTE that your home should be a mast, not an anchor. Palmer College is
where the best Doctors of Chiropractic in the world start their journey. We give students the tools and opportunity
to make the most of their abilities. We provide access to boundless knowledge and expert guidance. We encourage students to challenge themselves and grow, both personally and professionally. As a Palmer graduate, you have experienced
this yourself. Aſter you graduated, you took Palmer to the world, pursuing varying interests, geographies and approaches to practice. Palmer prepared you to be a lifelong learner and to relentlessly chase your dreams. You found success, and you are making the world a better place. In this issue of Palmer Proud, we
reflect on the legacy of Palmer West by highlighting the stories of faculty, alumni and current students who have helped to make the Palmer name synonymous with excellence, vision and success. As you read, you’ll understand how vital our years in
California will remain to the Palmer family and the direction of our College. West alumni have indeed walked many
paths, including coming back to serve the College they love. As they engage and mentor students, support the College as donors and drive the chiropractic profession forward, West alumni will forever be essential to the future of Palmer College. Teir expertise will continue to benefit students and patients, and their dedication to our mission will continue to guide the College forward. When I talk with Palmer College alumni,
the word “family” regularly comes up. For them, “family” might describe the legacy that passes from generation to generation or the supportive community they formed as a Palmer student. And for all of us, the word describes the Palmer family, the largest and most well-respected network of chiropractors in the world. Palmer is a family. A College that is home
to more than 31,000 graduates. But that home is not a place; it’s a global community of chiropractors with the shared vision of creating a better and healthier world. You are a part of it; we all are. Our home is not an anchor — it is a mast, guiding and encouraging us as we sail forward together.
