Sweet Peas – Raised By Unwins
Few things smell sweeter than sweet peas in summer. The colours are incredible, the flowers are fantastic for cutting, and the more you pick, the more they flower! These stunning annuals look gorgeous trained up obelisks or over arches. If you’re short on space, you can even grow dwarf sweet peas in pots.
Sow sweet pea seeds indoors in autumn or spring. They have long roots, so do best in long root-trainer modules. To aid germination, nick the hard seed coat with a sharp knife or soak the seeds overnight before sowing. Plant them out after all risk of frost has past.
