Many homeowners are confident in their choices, but may need some guidance on narrowing down the options from someone who is familiar with the best in design, all available at one address. The Personal Shopping Service is here to help with finds and recommendations for design enthusiasts who don’t know where to begin. This friendly, knowledgeable service can unlock access
to thousands of products from 600 of the world’s leading brands,
from fabrics and wallcoverings to furniture,
lighting, carpets, tiles, trimmings, accessories, kitchens, bathrooms and more. With a detailed knowledge of the showrooms, the team can help you navigate what’s on offer, whether you’re looking for one special piece or something more extensive. Recent requests include products for a colourful new look for the cloakroom of a Georgian farmhouse, with the homeowners eventually choosing Arte’s bold ‘Sumatra’ wallcovering paired with a forest green cement basin from West One Bathrooms; and a replacement fabric for some well-loved French Empire dining chairs, where the clients selected ‘Paradisio Castille’ by Verel de Belval at Abbott + Boyd, which possessed the richness of colour and texture that was an important part of the brief. Bespoke commissions are also possible: the team
recently worked with a client to deliver a colourful custom- made rug in Himalayan wool and bamboo silk by Jennifer Manners for a waterfront apartment. Clients can be anywhere in the world, and the service
often comes into its own when homeowners need to furnish their UK properties from afar. The team recently helped a Middle Eastern client looking for some contemporary pieces for her London apartment; from one in-person meeting and a look around the showrooms, they were then able to fulfil the brief remotely via Zoom calls, sourcing furniture from brands such as Porada and Tollgård.
