Company insight

shop” for its clients’ needs, the company then designed the packaging to contain the whole product, specifically for that one order. Capability that, Catallo says, means customers are buying much more than just a product from them.

Being this one-stop-shop is, Catallo believes, what sets CBRNergetics apart. “It’s one of the most important things we do; being able to provide the product and iterate it or the packaging per the customer’s requirements,” he says. Then

“It’s quite simple. What we’ve realised is by providing good communication with customers and keeping everyone updated through good comms... customers will come back again. It’s really simple.”

“We deal with all the different packaging and labelling requirements too which, for the military, is often more complex than the product in the box. We tie the whole thing together with a full supply chain service,” he adds. This means when they quote, details such as exactly how the product will be designed and manufactured, what licences will be required, and where the final product will be delivered – at which seaport or airport in whichever country – can be shared one to two years in advance.

comes the logistics, not something to be taken lightly when shipping these type of products.

Catallo says having the licensing expertise and experience they do is essential, allowing them to produce documents correctly so products arrive when they should. “If you control that, I think you’re in a stronger position. Otherwise, you’re at the mercy of a subcontracted party to put your goods where they need to be; which, when you’re talking about class one explosive

and moving dangerous goods across international borders, has to be done by experienced parties, with precision.” For Catallo and CBRNergetics, the future looks bright. A combination of shifting client needs, increased military spend as countries review their defence capabilities after Covid, and events that have refocused the mind when it comes to global stability are simultaneously increasing the levels of interest in the company and its products and services. But in a changing world, one things remains. “It’s quite simple,” Catallo concludes, “what we’ve realised is by providing good communication with customers and keeping everyone updated through good comms, and then actually delivering on what we said – on price and on target – customers will come back again. It’s really simple.” ●
