End-to-end solutions for cold chain logistics

he pandemic has brought many new challenges, together with demanding requirements for cold chain logistics. It also highlighted the importance of good distribution practice (GDP) guidelines as a key factor in maintaining the safety, integrity and efficacy of all biopharmaceutical products, not just Covid-19 vaccines. For most medical and biological products, GDP regulations require a temperature-controlled environment for several stages of manufacturing, shipping and storage.
Products to suit all industry needs Responding to the industry’s ultra-low temperature requirements, Thermo King has
developed the SuperFreezer cold storage solution to deliver complete coverage for vaccine storage. It can also be used with a Genset to make it suitable for transit. ColdCube active, refrigerated containers provide safe transport not only for vaccines but also biomedical products in the most demanding environmental conditions – ideal for distribution to pharmacies and directly to patients. ColdCube containers are portable, offering a -20°C to +25°C temperature range with full Bluetooth connectivity. They make smaller load refrigeration optimisation possible even in non-isolated vans together with non- refrigerated products.
Thermo King offers active temperature control, as well as telematics and data monitoring needed to guarantee integrity of different variants of the vaccine – regardless of a vaccine’s required temperature, with solution options from -70°C to +30°C. All equipment is tested in line with GDP guidelines in ISO and ATP-certified, authorised, independent testing centres. Test are performed under extreme ambient temperatures from -70°C to +40°C with door openings to ensure the units are providing requested temperatures throughout the supply chain. ●
