Navantia managed to complete its ongoing projects despite the initial impact of coronavirus. However, the rapid escalation of the crisis caused the immediate postponement of a number of repair projects scheduled for early and mid-2020, including some major conversion and reactivation plans, which had a significant impact on the yard’s short and medium- term repair programme. standards of safety, quality, reliability, efficiency and competitiveness, but also the key target of achieving full customer satisfaction. In fact, our commercial policy is precisely oriented to regular clients, many of which are major international ship owners and operators in the cruise sector. We have developed long-term agreements and a strong business relationship with our clients over the years, based on mutual trust and a guaranteed first-class service. Navantia’s main objective, under the extraordinary circumstances affecting the
industry at the moment, is to cooperate fully with our clients in adjusting our schedules and programmes to the extremely complex situation faced by the cruise sector, and to meet the requirements of each client by offering all the services they need. Although there is still a great degree of uncertainty, the prospects for the sector seem to be looking better, and our aim is to offer our clients full support in the safe and successful recovery of the cruise ship business. ●
