Nicklin Transit Packaging has appointed a new management team as it looks to continue its growth trajectory following the challenges of the pandemic.
For the past 20 years the fourth- generation family business has been run by managing director David Nicklin and under the new executive management team structure, he will take up a new chief executive officer role with a more strategic rather than operational focus. After a successful year as interim finance director, Anil Leaver has been appointed to the role on a permanent basis. As a chartered management accountant, Mr Leaver brings significant manufacturing experience, having previously worked with a range of blue-chip companies including Waterford Wedgwood plc, Hager Group and Severn Trent.
Making up the four-strong executive management team will be chief people officer Nicola Callaghan, a highly experienced human resources consultant who has been influential in helping evolve Nicklin’s operational structures and employee processes.
P&A spearheads Ukraine support initiative
P&A Group has spearheaded an initiative to deliver humanitarian aid to Ukraine. The company has co-ordinated partners and many local businesses to fill an articulated lorry with much-needed provisions such as non-perishable food, water, medical and first aid equipment.
An initial email appeal was sent by the P&A Group to local businesses, supply chains and customers of the P&A Pallet division requesting a list of items ranging from medical dressings to thermal blankets to batteries and power banks to sleeping bags to non-perishable foods, nappies and sanitary products.
