MORE SPACE, MORE SPEED
Last year, Dieffenbacher Customer Support in Alpharetta, Georgia – the US subsidiary of Dieffenbacher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH based
in Eppingen, Germany – announced a major expansion of its warehouse space to further improve parts availability for Dieffenbacher customers in North America.
“ O
ur spare parts warehouse expansion is complete. We’ve increased our warehouse space from 10,000ft2
to 23,000ft2
more than doubling our storage capacity,” said Rolf-Dieter Krey, director of after sales at Dieffenbacher Customer Support (DCS).
,
The upgraded Dieffenbacher facility in Alpharetta now houses approximately 2,600 different part numbers and maintains an inventory of around 230,000 individual items, enabling DCS to serve customers more quickly and reliably.
“But it’s not just about the numbers,” added Bernd Deffland, president and CFO of DCS. “The improved layout and increased capacity allow us to pick parts faster and speed up order fulfilment. Most importantly, the enhanced availability of critical spare parts significantly reduces downtime at our customers’ plants.”
The new warehouse also provides room for scalability and continued growth. The expansion was driven by DCS’s
commitment to strategic parts planning and the use of adjacent space to better meet customer needs. DCS can now offer increased safety stock for high-demand, long-lead-time parts and ensure the availability of frequently used items by prioritising them. More than 500 new parts have been added and validated to meet stocking requirements. “We incorporated a great deal of customer feedback we’ve received over the years into the planning of our new warehouse space,” said Mr Krey. “For example, we’re now increasingly shipping complete projects instead of multiple smaller orders, and we’ve improved inventory planning to ensure part availability for major events. The warehouse now also offers greater availability of known high- usage parts.”
With this expansion, DCS has strengthened its support for complete rebuilds and plant maintenance needs, moving closer to becoming a one-stop shop for rebuild projects. “As part of the expansion, we’ve also
created a dedicated customer experience area,” said Mr Deffland. “This space is designed to host internal and customer events, offering a unique setting that places you right in the heart of our expanded operations. “Whether for training sessions,

collaborative meetings, or live demonstrations, the new area enhances our ability to share knowledge, build stronger partnerships, and provide hands-on experiences with our solutions,” he added. ●
