DEVELOPING FUTURE TALENT
APPRENTICESHIPS AND GRADUATE PROGRAMMES Succession planning remains a key focus to ensure continuity in technical expertise. Select has taken proactive steps to identify and develop future leaders, ensuring that knowledge transfer is seamless and long-term project success is maintained. This has been achieved through structured apprenticeship and graduate programmes, which have been instrumental in developing the next wave of technical professionals. These initiatives provide hands-on experience, mentorship, and career development opportunities, ensuring a robust talent pipeline for the industry. Notably, all our female engineers have
come through one of these programmes, highlighting their effectiveness in fostering diverse talent and supporting gender representation in technical roles.
LEGO ENGINEERING PROJECTS: BRIDGING THE SKILLS GAP Innovative engagement programmes, such as LEGO engineering initiatives, have been introduced to inspire the next generation of technical professionals. These projects provide hands-on learning experiences, fostering problem-solving skills and technical creativity. By bridging the skills gap, these initiatives encourage more young individuals to pursue careers in engineering and lifting.
