ON THE COVER: ACE Industries installs a crane at a Proton Therapy Treatment Center at the University of Miami. The gantry rooms had already been built, which meant the ACE team had to fly in the crane and runway in parts, assemble it in the air and drop it down through a 6’ x 20’ hole in the ceiling. The crane was successfully lowered in sideways to clear the awkwardly shaped opening in the ceiling.
